Bendigo TAFE Revitalisation Project
Kane Constructions / Nicholson Construction JV
The Bendigo TAFE City Campus Revitalisation Project was a $60 million design and construct project funded by the Victorian Government and delivered by Kane Constructions and joint venture partner Nicholson Construction (KNJV).
The project included a mix of new buildings and refurbished heritage listed buildings featuring purpose-built, adaptable teaching spaces, workplace-simulated training rooms with modern equipment and state-of-the-art training facilities and spaces to improve the overall experience for students, staff, and the wider community.
Toohey’s Form-crete were awarded the main FRP package which included:

Building E – two storey refurbishment of an existing building. This building was a Heritage Victoria listed building and housed the hospitality department

Building G – New three storey building housing the hair & beauty department including construction of the ground floor slab and 3 elevated levels totalling approximately 3,000m2 of new floor area.

Building H – refurbishment of the existing two-storey building. This building was also Heritage Victoria listed building and housed the creative arts department and BT’s administration team

Building J – New three storey building comprising of general purpose classrooms including construction of the ground floor slab and 3 elevated levels totalling approximately 2,800m2 of new floor area.
Toohey’s Form-Crete were contracted to deliver:

Excavation of all footings

Supply and installation of reinforcement

Supply and install of all formwork including H-frames and high-rise form work

Supply and installation of stairmasters

Supply, pouring and finishing of all concrete
