STOCKYARD HILL WIND FARM
SNC-LAVALIN/WBHO JOINT VENTURE
The $700 million project consisted of 149 approved wind turbines located approximately 35 km west of Ballarat. The Stockyard Hill Wind Farm has the potential to harness one of Victoria’s best wind resources and will provide substantial environmental, community and economic benefits, and will have the potential to power approximately 390,000 homes annually.
The project commenced construction in May 2018.
Tooheys Form-crete were subcontracted to build the turbine bases for the turbines being installed.

Toohey’s Form-crete completed this scope of works for the Stockyard Hill Wind Farm in 15 months, from August 2018 till October 2019.
MT GELLIBRAND WIND FARM
WBHO/CIVILEX JOINT VENTURE
Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm is located 25 kilometres east of Colac and 17km west of Winchelsea in the Colac Otway Shire on Victoria’s Western Plains. The total project value was approximately $258 million, entailing the construction of 44 turbines.
Toohey’s Form-crete were contracted for:

Toohey’s Form-crete delivered their completed turbine foundations in 6 months, from June 2017 till November 2017.
RAVENHALL PRISON
JOHN HOLLAND GROUP
Ravenhall Prison Project delivered a new medium-security $670 million prison facility to accommodate 1,000 prisoners and was completed in 2017.
GEO Consortium was selected to deliver the project and contracts were signed in September 2014. GEO Consortium comprises GEO Group Australia, John Holland Group, Honeywell and Capella Capital.
Toohey’s Form-crete were contracted by Civilex to complete the forming, pouring and finishing of all landscape pavement including concrete road pavement.
MERNDA RAIL EXTENSION
JOHN HOLLAND GROUP
Mernda Station was built as part of the $600 million rail extension of the South Morang line to Mernda, which opened in August 2018.
The station has been built to integrate with the Mernda Town Centre, providing easy access to shopping, entertainment, cafes, restaurants, a library, health and fitness facilities, bus services and the station’s two car parks.
Toohey’s Form-crete were contracted to form, pour and finish the landscape concrete pavement, concrete road pavement and install culvert slabs.
BALLARAT SPORTS AND EVENTS CENTRE (BSEC)
NICHOLSON CONSTRUCTION
This $24m project was jointly funded by the federal government ($10m) state government ($9m) and the City of Ballarat ($5m)
The project saw six new courts added to the existing two-court Wendouree Sports and Events Centre, making it one of the biggest facilities in the region.
Tooheys Form-crete was contracted to facilitate and complete the concrete foundations of the building and courts, as well as build the tier seating base on the show court.

BALLARAT TRAIN STATION PRECINCT
MULTI-LEVEL CAR PARK
PELLICANO BUILDERS
405 spaces over three levels. The multideck car park at the Ballarat Station precinct is the first phase of the site’s $32 million redevelopment project.

QUEST APARTMENTS
PELLICANO BUILDERS
Quest Apartment Hotel with 77 rooms, is Stage Two of the Ballarat Train Station Precinct Development. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the train station and neighbouring events plaza in central Ballarat.

VICTORIAN EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TRAINING CENTRE (VEMTC)
CENTRAL HIGHLANDS MELBCON
The $31 million Victorian Emergency Management Training Centre (VEMTC) – Central Highlands, intends to give emergency services a location to continue their vital training and education services.
The 35-hectare site is an environmentally safe facility featuring hot fire and multi-purpose training pads as well as firefighting props and specialist training capability.
Toohey’s Form-crete were contracted to concrete foundations and slabs to all buildings on the VEMTC site

STOCKLAND WENDOUREE
MABEN
Stockland Wendouree shopping precinct extended and upgraded its centre and facilities with a $37 million redevelopment being completed in 2018.
The centre increased its size by 6,700m2 bringing the total GLA to 27,651m2. A new indoor/outdoor laneway precinct, an expanded Woolworths and two new entries were added as part of the $37 million development.
Toohey’s Form-crete completed the forming, pouring and finishing of over 6,000 square metres of concrete.
Toohey’s Form-crete supplied the precision concrete foundation of the newly built Woolworths and new retail tenancies, as well as the foundation of the shopping centre extension. TFC then completed the concrete car park including curbs, crossovers and custom concrete-formed planter boxes at the entrance of the Centre extension.
BACCHUS MARSH COACHES
SJ WEIR
This continually expanding company completed the extension of its Bacchus Marsh Depot in 2017, making it capable of parking and providing maintenance on 50+ buses and vehicles.
Toohey’s Form-crete delivered:

BEAUFORT - BUANGOR
LEND LEASE
This $95 million dollar project got 15kms of road duplicated between Beaufort to Buangor and the installation of 3 new bridges.
Toohey’s Form-crete’s contract consisted of all formwork and concreting to 8 major culvert crossings under the freeway. TFC worked in closely with the earthworks crew to ensure both teams were able to plan ahead, prioritise and ensure the scope of works was completed during the winter. Toohey’s Form-crete were able to deliver all of the culvert crossings in a short amount of time exceeding the client’s expectations.
Toohey’s Form-crete employees also built all 3 bridges on the project via day labour. TFC tasks included the comprehension of plans, visualising what was required and being able to successfully complete all aspects of the job including blinding, steelwork, formwork, installing pre-cast and all concrete pours.
AIRPORT DRIVE/STEELE CREEK STORMWATER ENHANCEMENT PROJECT
JOHN HOLLAND GROUP
This project involved a major extension of Airport Drive which improved access to Melbourne Airport and significantly eased road congestion in and around the aviation precinct. The $100 million extension of Airport Drive and enhancement of Steele Creek North project included a 100,000m³ flood detention basin being built to protect the residents living downstream from flooding.
A 7000m² sedimentation basin with a rain garden was also constructed. One of the largest in Australia, allowing the runoff from the airport area to be treated to best practice standards.
As one of the state’s largest stormwater harvesting projects, the scheme produces over 130 megalitres of treated stormwater per year.
TFC was contracted to deliver all formwork and concreting for the retarding basins and spillways
Additional TFC contracted work on the project included over 16,000 sqm of shared user path.
Scope of Works included building complex formwork structures, managing additional subcontractors, pouring significant quantities of concrete on continuous days, and ensuring to deliver our contract by the deadline.
MELBOURNE LEVEL CROSSING REMOVALS
JOHN HOLLAND GROUP
This $530 million dollar project saw the removal of level crossings in North, McKinnon and Centre Roads. This Included lowering the rail lines and reconstruction of new stations.
Toohey’s Form-crete were employed for the duration of the main rail occupation which saw all stations closed for a period of 5 weeks. Toohey’s Form-crete provided 20 employees for that period working around the clock 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Toohey’s Form-crete’s two 10 man crews were responsible for the assembling and removal of temporary bracing of sheet piles, installation of pre-cast planks to the fore-court of the station, pouring of all concrete at the station, including platforms, ramps and the station slab, forming and pouring of all columns for the structural steel for the assembly of the station, as well as numerous other jobs that the client needed completed to deliver the project on schedule.
TULLA WIDENING
LEND LEASE
The $1.3 billion project started in 2015, with all new lanes opened and interchanges upgraded in late 2018.
Scope: Toohey’s Form-crete supplied day labour throughout the project, including the widening on English Street Bridge, widening at Mickelham Road Bridge, all off-structure works to Bulla Road, as well as, form, reinforce, and pour all concrete throughout the upgrade.
